Eigo Kawashima, born on April 23, 1952, in Higashiōsaka, Osaka Prefecture, was a
Japanese singer-songwriter. He began his musical journey as a student at Osaka
Prefectural Hanazono High School, where he started singing folk songs in 1969.
After graduating, Eigo Kawashima was part of the group Homo Sapiens and debuted
with Kyoto Record, an indie label based in Kyoto. His debut solo album Jinrui
was released in 1975. In 1976, he achieved his first major hit with the single
