Nguyễn Văn Diệp, known professionally as Duy Khánh, born June 1, 1936, in Triệu Phước, Quảng Trị, Vietnam, was a Vietnamese singer and songwriter who emigrated to the United States after the Fall of Saigon. He won a French radio contest in 1952 with “Trăng Thanh Bình” and performed in Saigon under the name Hoàng Thanh, recording folk songs “Vợ chồng quê” and “Ngày trở về” by Phạm Duy. He composed more than 30 songs and recorded Phạm Duy's epic song “Con đường cái quan” with Thái Thanh.
