R&B and rap group D.R.S., short for Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, forms in
Sacramento, California, with members Jail Bait, Endo, Deuce Deuce, Pic and Ejay
Blunt Turner. The quintet, discovered by The Whole 9 production team, signs a
contract with Roll Wit It, distributed by Capitol Records. The group's biggest
hit - and almost the only one - remains "Gangsta Lean", which spent six weeks at
the top of the R&B charts and reached #4 on the Billboard Singles chart in early
1994. Selling 2.5 million copies, the song became famous as far away as Japan,
