Douglas Spotted Eagle, born Douglas Wallentine in 1962, is an American flutist
from Valley Junction, Iowa, known for his work with Native American-style flute.
Raised in a non-Native family, he initially played guitar in a Christian rock
band after moving to Salt Lake City, Utah. His music career began with the
release of Sacred Feelings in 1990, followed by several albums including
CanyonSpeak (1990) and Stand at the Center (1992). Spotted Eagle's work often
blended jazz, new age, pop, and world beat elements with Native American music.
