Dota, also known as Dota Kehr and formerly Kleingeldprinzessin (born September 14, 1979 in West Berlin), is a singer-songwriter and music producer from Germany. Born Dorothea Kehr, she first began playing the saxophone. She was already performing at fairs at the age of 14. It was only a few years later that she started playing the guitar. Until the early 2000s, the singer was known as the Penny Princess. Her early recordings are characterized by bossa nova.
