Don & Dewey
Don and Dewey was an American rock, blues, and R&B duo comprising Don Francis
Bowman Harris, known as Sugarcane Harris, who lived from June 18, 1938 to
December 1, 1999, and Dewey Steven Terry, who lived from July 17, 1937 to May
11, 2003. Born in Los Angeles and raised in Pasadena, California, they met in
1949 and later formed the doo-wop group the Squires in high school before
performing as a duo. By 1956, Harris played electric violin and Terry played
