Dominique Vellard is a French tenor, composer, and specialist in medieval music
born in 1953. He founded the Ensemble Gilles Binchois in 1979, a group
specializing in medieval and early Renaissance music including the performance
of Ars Nova works. His recording career included more than 50 recordings, with
approximately 40 as the leader of his ensemble. Notable releases included the
studio recording Mon souverain desir and the studio recording Le Manuscrit du
