Dominique Panol
Dominique Panol (born 1955 in Le Gosier, Guadeloupe) is a French Caribbean
singer, songwriter, and poly‑instrumentalist known for blending zouk,
cadence‑lypso, and jazz influences. Raised in the gwo ka tradition, he began
playing bass at age seven with the folkloric group La Brisquante and later
studied at the Schola Cantorum of Paris before moving to New York, where he
attended the Mannes College of Music and met jazz luminaries such as Gil Evans
