Diomedes Dionisio Díaz Aroca, born 9 November 1980 in Valledupar, Colombia, is a
Colombian vallenato singer and son of the famed Diomedes Díaz. Early exposure to
the family’s music scene and the local Aroca grocery shop provided the
foundation for his artistic development, and he began performing with
accordionist Rolando Ochoa in the late 1990s. His debut studio effort, Mi
primera experiencia (1998), introduced him to the regional market, followed by
Siguiendo los pasos (1999) and Mi vida real (2000), each reinforcing his
