DIIV is an American indie rock band from Brooklyn, New York, formed in 2011 by
Zachary Cole Smith (vocals, guitar), principal songwriter. The line-up initially
comprising Smith, Andrew Bailey (guitar), Devin Ruben Perez (bass) and Colby
Hewitt (drums) has evolved over time. Their music blends shoegaze, dream pop and
post-punk, characterized by reverberating guitars, ethereal atmospheres and
