The German record producer, singer song writer and TV personality Dieter Bohlen is a towering figure in the German business and is often referred to in the press as a 'pop-Titan'. After finishing his university studies with a degree in business administration he began writing songs for the Hamburg label Intersong before moving to the giant Hansa label in Hamburg in 1980. He rose to prominence as a performer when he formed the duo Modern Talking with Thomas Anders.
