Diamond Head is a British heavy metal band formed in 1976 in Stourbridge,
England (West Midlands), by guitarist Brian Tatler and drummer Duncan Scott.
Quickly joined by singer Sean Harris and bassist Colin Kimberley, the band
became one of the pioneers of the New Wave of British Heavy Metal (NWOBHM) in
the late 1970s. Their debut album, Lightning to the Nations (1980), although
self-produced and initially distributed on a confidential basis, acquired cult
status and had a profound influence on the metal scene, with bands such as
