Dewald Louw
Dewald Louw, born June 18, 1986, in Durbanville, South Africa, is a South
African singer and winner of the first season of Afrikaans Idols in 2006. Raised
in Bloemfontein, he made his television debut in 2000 on the music show Noot vir
Noot and was a finalist at the ATKV Lier Awards in 2002. Following his
competition victory, he released his debut studio album, In Jou Oë, in December
2006 on Sony BMG. In 2007 and 2008, he released the singles “Free to Fly” and
“Nog 'n Hart”. His second studio album, Ek en Jy, released in February 2009,
