Dennis Yost (born July 20, 1943 in Detroit, Michigan) was an American singer who
became the frontman of the rock group Classics IV. After moving to Jacksonville
at age seven, Dennis Yost played drums and sang with local bands before joining
The Echoes, a high‑school ensemble that would later evolve into Classics IV. The
group’s breakthrough came in 1967 when their single "Spooky" entered the
Billboard Hot 100, followed by chart‑toppering hits "Stormy" (Number 4, 1967)
