Deborah Ann Gibson, known professionally as Debbie Gibson, was born on 31 August
1970 in Brooklyn, New York. She began performing at a young age, learning to
play the ukulele and piano by eight years old. At 16, she signed her first
record deal with Atlantic Records after pitching demos to industry
professionals. Her debut album, Out of the Blue, released in 1987, earned three
