Dead Confederate
If Athens is still in Georgia and not in Greece, Dead Confederate isn't the
hidden son of R.E.M. either, nor is it a Southern rock band. Dead Confederate is
US alternative rock duly vitaminized with Queen of the Stone Ages and Dinosaur
Jr. sources, rock that moves and rips out the vocal cords. Formed in 2006, Dead
Confederate's Wrecking Bal l is one of the most talked-about albums of 2008,
with critics comparing Dead Confederate to Nirvana. But that didn't stop Dead
Confederate from going from strength to strength, and Wrecking Ball was released
in Europe in February 2010.
