Dave Berry, born David Holgate Grundy on February 6, 1941, in Sheffield, South Yorkshire, is an English rock singer and former teen idol. Inspired by Chuck Berry, he changed his surname to "Berry" and signed with Decca Records in 1963 after being spotted at a ballroom in Doncaster. His debut single "Memphis, Tennessee" reached number 19 in the UK.
