Maria Waldelurdes Costa de Santana Dutilleux, known professionally as Daúde, is
a Brazilian singer-songwriter born on September 23, 1961, in Salvador. She began
studying voice and theater at age 18 and earned degrees in Portuguese and
literature. Santana Dutilleux released her debut studio album, Daúde, in 1995
through Natasha Records. The recording featured covers of songs by Jorge Ben Jor
and Caetano Veloso and received the Sharp Award from the APCA and the Jornal do
