Data Romance, a Canadian electro-indie duo from Vancouver, was formed in 2009 by
Ajay Bhattacharyya and Amy Kirkpatrick. The duo met while performing at Lucky
Bar in Victoria, where they began collaborating after moving to Vancouver. They
initially released the single "Bones" in 2010, followed by their debut EP Data
Romance in 2011 under Street Quality Entertainment. Their breakthrough came with
the release of the single "The Deep," which was featured in NME and Filter
