Darius de Haas (born September 29, 1968, in Chicago) is an American stage actor
and singer. Raised in a musical family, de Haas began his career on Broadway,
appearing in productions such as Rent, Kiss of the Spider Woman, and Carousel.
He won an Obie Award in 1999 for his performance in Diedre Murray's jazz opera
Running Man and played Jesus in the Alliance Theatre’s reimagining of
Webber-Rice’s Jesus Christ Superstar, retitled JCS Gospel. De Haas has also
