Dan Ar Braz, born Daniel Le Bras on January 15, 1949 in Quimper, is an iconic
French guitarist, composer and singer on the folk and Celtic scene. He began his
career in the 1960s playing instrumental rock, influenced by guitarists such as
Hank Marvin of the Shadows, before joining harpist Alan Stivell in 1971, with
whom he helped popularize Breton music in Europe and beyond. With his electric
