DAG
DAG was an American funk ensemble from Raleigh established in 1989. They
achieved professional recognition for a musical style characterized by
1970s-inspired funk and for their debut studio recording Righteous (1994). The
ensemble was founded by the vocalist and bassist Bobby Patterson, the guitarist
Brian Dennis, the drummer Kenny Soule, and the keyboardist Doug Jervey. They
achieved professional recognition for signing with the label Columbia Records
and releasing Righteous (1994) featuring the musician Roger Hawkins. Their
