Tadd Mullinix, known professionally as Dabrye, is an American musician from Ann
Arbor, Michigan. Mullinix began a career under the alias James T. Cotton and
released the album Winking Makes a Face (2000), which was the first album
released by the Ghostly International label. The first album released under the
Dabrye name was One/Three (2001), featuring an instrumental hip-hop style that
paralleled the work of artists including Prefuse 73. Subsequent projects
