Shante Scott Franklin, aka Curren$y, is an American hip-hop performer with several hit rap albums since his 2010 release 'Pilot Talk' which went to number six on Billboard's Top Rap Albums Chart and number nine on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums Chart. Born in New Orleans, he began making mixtapes in the early 2000s and later collaborated with Freddie Gibbs, Wiz Khalifa and Lil Wayne.
