Craig Wayne Boyd, born Craig Wayne Boyd on 31 December 1978 in Dallas, Texas, is
a singer‑songwriter. Raised in the Dallas suburb of Mesquite, he was influenced
by gospel and country music, played several instruments as a youth, later served
as his church choir director. Boyd relocated to Nashville in 2004 to pursue a
career, signing a publishing deal with EMI and writing for other artists while
touring as an opening act for performers such as Jamey Johnson, Randy Houser and
