Costel Busuioc, born on 21 October 1974 in Goruni, Tomeşti, Iaşi, Romania, is a
Romanian tenor known for his powerful vocals. Although he had no formal
training, Busuioc began singing opera arias and Christian music from a young
age, serving as a cantor in several Transylvanian churches. While working as a
laborer in Spain, his breakthrough came in 2008 when he won the
immigrant-oriented talent contest Hijos de Babel, performing "Libiamo ne' lieti
calici" from Verdi's Traviata and Puccini's "Nessun dorma". This victory secured
