Compton's Most Wanted, an American gangsta rap group from Compton, California, became active in 1987 with leaders MC Eiht and Tha Chill. The duo initially gained attention with demo tapes recorded in their Compton neighborhood. Their breakthrough came in 1988 when they released "Rhymes To Funky" on the compilation album Sound Control Mob - Under Investigation.
