Coco Mupala, real name Colette, was born in Paris into a family of artists from
the Congo (DRC). Lulled by gospel music, she began singing as a child. At the
age of 11, she won a local singing competition, revealing her talent. In 2015, a
surprise entry in the Luton Mela Show competition in London propelled her to the
final. Spotted by BBC Three and TRACE TV, she recorded her first tracks,
