Clock DVA
Clock DVA, an English band from Sheffield, was formed in 1978 by Adi Newton and
Steven "Judd" Turner. The group gained attention with their experimental
electronic music. Their breakthrough came with White Souls in Black Suits (1980)
on Industrial Records. Clock DVA's 1981 album Thirst, released on Fetish
Records, topped the NME Indie Charts and featured the single "4 Hours". The band
split in 1981. Adi Newton reformed Clock DVA in 1982 with John Valentine
Carruthers, releasing Advantage (1983) under Polydor Records. After another
split, Adi Newton reactivated the group in 1987, ...
