smooth jazz composer, educator, and musician who specializes in both the trumpet
and flugelhorn. Influenced by artists such as Lee Morgan, Freddie Hubbard, and
Blue Mitchell, her style is rooted in classic jazz although she is often
pigeon-holed in the smooth jazz genre. When she was very young, she learned to
