Christopher Norris Cagle, born on 10 November 1968 in DeRidder, Louisiana, is an
American country music artist known professionally as Chris Cagle. After moving
to Nashville in 1994, he initially worked odd jobs while honing his songwriting
skills. His breakthrough came when he met Harlan Howard, leading to a publishing
deal and songs recorded by David Kersh. In 2000, he signed with Virgin Records
