Chris Ayer, born on January 7, 1984, in Stanford, California, is an American
musician known for his work as a singer-songwriter, musician, and producer. He
began playing guitar and writing songs at age 18 while attending Stanford
University. Ayer's first full-length album, This is the Place, was recorded in
Nashville and released in 2006. He won the folk category in the 2006 John Lennon
