The Filipino pop singer Chlara Magtultol was born in England but after her
father passed way her mother took her back to the Philippines where she was
raised from the age of nine. Music was a major part of her home life and the
songs of Michael Jackson, Stevie Wonder, The Carpenters and Whitney Houston
provided the backdrop to her teenage years and became significant influences in
her own ballad-oriented songwriting.
