Chikako Sawada, born 4 August 1963 in Yono, Japan, entered the national music scene with the studio album Heart Size -In Your Eyes II- on 3 May 1989. The single "Aitai" released 27 June 1990 marked Chikako Sawada’s breakthrough, presenting a melodic vocal style that reached a wider audience. In 1991 she issued the album Cherish on 28 June, compiling her early singles and focusing on personal relationships.
