Chiharu Matsuyama, born on December 16, 1955, in Ashoro, Hokkaido, Japan, is a
renowned Japanese folk singer-songwriter known for his emotive style and lyrical
compositions. He launched his music career with the debut single "Tabidachi" in
1977, which marked the beginning of his influence in the folk music scene. His
subsequent hits, including "Toki no Itazura"(1977) and "Kisetsu no Nakade"(1978)
further solidified his status in the industry. Matsuyama's work has been
impactful enough to inspire a film adaptation of his autobiographical work
