Danish singer-songwriter Chief 1 was born Lars Pedersen in 1970 and at the age
of 17 helped to found Rockers By Choice, the first Danish rap group to appear on
MTV. He is the son of Jan Pedersen, the drummer from the Danish pop band the
Cliffters who had some success in the early '60s. His brother is Per 'Dee Pee'
Pedersen, a well-known rap artist who was influential in introducing his brother
