Charles Auguste Olejniczak, known professionally as Charly Oleg, was a French
pianist and conductor born on August 7, 1931, in Nilvange. After graduating from
the Metz Conservatory, he began his career performing in dance halls before
accompanying notable artists such as Joséphine Baker, Mireille Mathieu, and
Charles Aznavour. From 1979 to 1982, Olejniczak served as the resident conductor
at the Théâtre de la Renaissance, directing various opérettes. He entered
