Charlie Cruz
Charlie Cruz (born 3 April 1975 in Naguabo, Puerto Rico) is a salsa singer who
grew up in Paterson, Jersey, and returned to Puerto Rico. He first appeared as a
vocalist on his father Fonzy Cruz’s recordings and studied piano while working
with Domingo Quiñones’s orchestra. His breakthrough came with the 1999 album
Imagínate, followed by Así Soy (2000), Un Chico Malo (2001), and Ven a Mi
(2003). In 2003 he released the EP Super Seis, and in 2008 the album Dinámico
under a new label. Notable tracks include "Amor de Verdad" (remix, 2016) and "Tú
