Charles Castronovo, born June 19, 1975, in New York, is an American tenor known
for his extensive repertoire. He began his musical studies at California State
University and started his operatic career in 1998 as a resident at the Los
Angeles Opera. Castronovo participated in the Merola Opera program of the San
Francisco Opera and joined the Lindemann Young Artist Development Program at the
Metropolitan Opera, making his debut there in September 1999 in Pagliacci. He
