César Costa
César Costa, born César Antero Roel Schreurs on August 13, 1941, in Mexico City,
is a Mexican singer, actor, producer, and lawyer. He started his musical career
in 1958 as the vocalist for Los Black Jeans, one of Mexico's first rock and roll
bands, releasing their debut singles "La Batalla de Jericó" and "La Cucaracha".
The band later changed its name to Los Camisas Negras, and after their
disbandment, Costa pursued a solo career, signing with Orfeón in the late 1960s
and adapting songs by Paul Anka into Spanish. He achieved significant success
