Casimir is a French children's character created by Yves Brunier and Christophe
Izard, who first appeared on television in the program L'Île aux enfants.
Broadcast from September 16, 1974 on the ORTF's third channel, and then on TF1
until June 30, 1982, the show brought Casimir national fame as an orange
dinosaur with yellow and red polka dots and, as the saying goes, a "gentle
monster", feeding exclusively on gloubi-boulga (strawberry jam, chocolate,
mashed banana, mustard and Toulouse sausage). His recording debut coincided with
the launch of the program, with the single "L'Île...
