Carré Rouge, a French hip-hop group from Marseille, was formed in 1996 and
consisted of three rappers—Stone Black, Manolo, and Jazzy Jazz—and DJ Soon. The
group's early career included contributions to various compilations and
soundtracks, notably the film Taxi with the track "Sale vie infecte" in 1998.
Their debut maxi, Hommes de terrain, was released independently under Bad Life
Records in 1999. In 2001, Carré Rouge released their first full-length album, De
