Carolyn Leonhart
Carolyn Leonhart, born on July 10, 1971, in New York City, is an American jazz
singer. She was exposed to music from a young age and attended her father Jay
Leonhart's concerts as a child. She studied at the University of Rochester and
won the Lena Horne Jazz Vocalist Competition in her senior year. She began
performing professionally in New York City jazz clubs, competing in the
Thelonious Monk International Jazz Vocal Competition in 1994. She released her
debut album Steal the Moon in 2000 with pianist Rob Bargad and collaborated with
