Carla Werner
Carla Werner, born in New Zealand, is a singer and songwriter who began her
music career at age 11. At 12, she won the New Zealand Junior Entertainer of the
Year for country music and later triumphed in the junior category of Telequest
in 1986. After migrating to Australia in 1989, Werner joined The Cool Tin Box in
1994. Following the band's disbandment, she signed her first major record deal
with Columbia Records in 2002 and released her debut album Departure in 2003.
