Aaron Marcellis McCain, born on March 1, 1989, in Chicago, Illinois, is a rapper
known as Canon and is an American Christian rapper. He began rapping after a
near‑fatal car accident that led him to seek God, and attended Bible College in
Memphis, where he met Derek Minor and Lecrae, who mentored him. He released his
first EP, Loose Canon, in 2012, followed by his studio album Mad Haven in 2013
under Reflection Music Group. In 2014, Loose Canon Vol. 2 entered the Billboard
200 at number 101, marking his first chart success.
