The electropop band Cannons formed in 2013 in Los Angeles, California. Childhood
friends Ryan Clapham and Paul Davis began performing together as teenagers, with
Clapham playing guitar and Davis handling playing keyboards. Joined by singer
Michelle Joy, the musicians began creating their own brand of dreamy, danceable,
synth-driven indie pop in 2013, then officially debuted in 2014 with the
self-released EP Up All Night. A full-length album, Night Drive, was released in
2017, followed one year later by another independent EP, In a Heartbeat.
