Born in Eket, Nigeria, Camilla George is a London based saxophonist, improviser,
composer and educator. She was interested in music at an early age, learning to
play the saxophone at the age of 11, winning a music contest which won her some
saxophone lessons. Influenced by jazz and world music artists like Fela Kuti,
Jackie McLean, and Charlie Parker, she studied under respected saxophonists Jean
Toussaint, Julian Siegal and Martin Speake at the Trinity College of Music. In
