Cafe Drechsler
Café Drechsler is an Austrian jazz trio formed in Vienna in 2000 by Ulrich
Drechsler on saxophone, Alex Deutsch on drums, and Oliver Steger on double bass.
The band took its name from a local café. Their debut album Café Drechsler was
released by Universal Music in 2002, featuring improvised pieces recorded with
guest musicians. This album reached top-10 positions on radio and club charts in
several countries and was nominated for the Amadeus Austrian Music Award in
