1942, in Buenos Aires. He began his career as a pianist in various tango groups
and later transitioned into singing. He released his debut album, Cacho Castaña,
in 1972. This was followed by releases like Cara de Tramposo (1975) and La
Historia del Ladrón (1976), which helped put his name on the map as a bolero
