Matthew James Burns (October 31, 1985), simply known as Burns, is an LA-based
English DJ, songwriter, and producer. The son of a painter and a heavyweight
boxer, he began making music at the age of 12 and discovered sampling during his
teenage years, which inspired him to produce his own tracks marrying analog
technology with modern software. He emerged onto the club scene in the late
2000s, opening for the likes of deadmau5 and Calvin Harris before making his
